Serman & Tipsmark has just launched a new, bigger website. The idea behind it is that customers should be able to find whatever they need in a few clicks. At the same time, the new site emphasises the hydraulics specialist's core areas. Industry, Offshore/Marine, Mobile and Energy.

 

A new website from Serman & Tipsmark has just seen the light of day. The company has devoted a vast amount of resources to finding the perfect solution for customers and other interested parties and the result is a simple user interface with a straightforward design and without too many disruptive elements.

  • Increasingly, we are seeing that servicing our customers and collaborative partners is done online. Consequently, our website has become an extremely important point of contact which of course has to function optimally, explains Sales Manager Mark van den Bosch, before continuing: - Our goal has been to take the needs of the individual customer as our point of departure. That is crucial to a company like ours with a substantial scale and scope.

One of the new features is that as soon as you reach the home page you have to decide which core area you are interested in. Serman & Tipsmark's main areas of operation are Industry, Offshore Marine, Mobile and Energy. That way, the customer is quickly directed to the relevant information.

  • Many websites take the internal organisation of the company as their point of departure. We have tried to do the opposite because the customers don't really care how we are organised, Mark van den Bosch points out.

The website works on several levels so that in many cases you are able to read much more about the subject that interests you. For example, on many pages it is possible to navigate to Serman & Tipsmark's brochures, which open as print and reader-friendly PDF files.

Naturally, the website is also optimised for use on tablets and smart phones. Here too, the key words are simplicity and speed.
