Per Kristoffersen, Claus Tipsmark and Per Lentz originally started the business in a garage which has developed over the years. Per Kristoffersen and Per Lentz as business partners and Claus Tipsmark with his own company. The name Serman & Tipsmark came about because Per Lentz and Per Kristoffersen came from Serritslev and Manna (hence Serman) and from the surname of Claus Tipsmark.
The two companies were amalgamated in 1994, and over the years the company continued to grow in Brønderslev with a service department being established in Tommerup. In 1999, the company was acquired by Sanistål, and today Serman & Tipsmark is a 100%-owned subsidiary of Sanistål.
However, what started as a local machine workshop focusing on the immediate area, has gone on to become a global player within the hydraulics industry that counts companies such as Siemens, Vestas and Danfoss among its customers.
In 2014, there were approximately 70 employees distributed between the production site / workshop, logistics, sales, PTA/development and administration
