Martec Students Visit Serman & Tipsmark
In early March, we had the pleasure of welcoming 19 students from the Marine Engineering program at Martec in Frederikshavn. The students are currently in their 8th semester, nearing the end of their studies.
“At Serman & Tipsmark, we believe it’s important to contribute actively to the education of future professionals – both skilled workers and academics. That’s why we always welcome visits from nearby educational institutions,” says Henning Dybro, Technical Director at Serman & Tipsmark.
As part of their final semester, the students undertake a 10-week internship with a company. The purpose is to give them insight into what lies beyond graduation.
“We’ve had interns from Martec for several years, and many of them have completed their final thesis projects with us. I did too,” says Rasmus Obel D. Jensen. Rasmus was later hired as a project manager and now serves as Service Manager at Serman & Tipsmark.
Lasse Krage, a student from Martec, shares: “The visit to Serman & Tipsmark gave us insight into an exciting and dynamic workplace with advanced hydraulic systems. We received a full tour of the company and its departments and gained a valuable overview of their products and activities. The visit was highly educational and gave us a better understanding of daily life at Serman & Tipsmark. We also had the chance to discuss future career and internship opportunities.”
The students expressed their thanks for a few enjoyable hours in a hydraulic environment. We at Serman & Tipsmark also thank them for the visit and hope to see them again in the future. Best of luck with the rest of your studies!
